Experiences & conceptions

The experiences and conceptions of research can be very different between supervisors and candidates. This variation however, can lead to major difficulties during research. To help avoid difficulties we have outlined:

1. Student experiences: this page summarises the variation of student experiences from their outset to completion of research work.

2. Conceptions of research: discusses the variation of concepts that research students and supervisors may hold, and how these may be negotiated to achieve mutual expectations.
